A small noname image host with ony 400 images should be moved and continued under the domain which just was registered. What began four years ago has developped to a project with 600GB traffic in course of time. And we’re really proud of it! Let's ring the year 2011 http://picload.org/news-lets-ring-the-year-2011.html Mon, 03 Jan 2011 02:13:00 +0100 It was foreseeable that the 2nd decade in the 2nd millennium would come sometime but it was very surprising that it so fastly approached. That's why we used the last 50 hours and 13 minutes to collect our thoughts to analyze the last statistics of the last year and to prepare for the new year. A review of 2010 which mostly consists of matter-of-fact numbers and a view in the crystal ball of the future should help us to be able to finally conclude with the past. Become fan and win one of four Apple iPod touch http://picload.org/news-become-fan-and-win-one-of-four-apple-ipod-touch.html Tue, 07 Dec 2010 20:30:00 +0100 The nights become colder, the year comes to an end and Christmas will be soon. We look back on a successful year 2010 what we first and foremost owe to our loyal users. That's why we'd like to thank you very much for your trust and your loyalty in a special way. One of four iPod touch will lie under your Christmas tree with a bit of luck. A lot of new things on planet picload.org http://picload.org/news-a-lot-of-new-things-on-planet-picloadorg.html Fri, 19 Nov 2010 13:30:00 +0100 There has happened a lot since the last entry on 18 August. I'm very glad that I don't have to deliver any bad messages this time, but only good ones. The longed for Archive Uploader has been finally finished, we got new servers, there is a help for the frequently asked questions now, the user area has been extended and the contact page has been revised. Blackout created big problems http://picload.org/news-blackout-created-big-problems.html Wed, 18 Aug 2010 01:25:00 +0200 A large-area blackout in the whole centre of Erfurt has created big problems for us as well on Monday, 16th August. A defective UPS-equipment in the data center of Keyweb AG was blamed for the fact that all our servers weren’t available. Simply changed http://picload.org/news-simply-changed.html Thu, 01 Jul 2010 21:16:00 +0200 It’s almost two weeks ago since our entire data base replication laid down its service. The master suddenly started to jerk again two days ago. It simply forgot data bases although we have practically changed the whole servers’ hardware on 17th June. Flops, bad luck and mishaps http://picload.org/news-flops-bad-luck-and-mishaps.html Thu, 17 Jun 2010 00:54:00 +0200 Bad luck pursues us now. Murphy had destroyed our Master data base server on Monday and on Wednesday it was the Slave’s turn which has had to take on the complete data base history since the first breakdown. Honestly: We have had no idea until now why the servers were so angry that they completely refused their service. Warning of picload.org copy with virus in Java Applet http://picload.org/news-warning-of-picloadorg-copy-with-virus-in-java-applet.html Fri, 11 Jun 2010 19:14:00 +0200 There has been sent messages in various social networks the last few days. These messages contain a supposed picload.org link. A Java Applet is offered for installing at the page which is disguised as picload.org to be able to look at an alleged party photo in a higher definition. A virus is really hidden on the computer. The virus makes it possible to spy out the computer. A remote control of the computer through a hacker is also possible. Unbelievable but true: The user panel is ready! http://picload.org/news-unbelievable-but-true-the-user-panel-is-ready.html Sat, 15 May 2010 03:30:00 +0200 There are three months over again after the announcement but we finished all tests last week and we officially put online the long desired user area. There has also happened a lot around the statistical datas, of course everything in a positive way- as we like it. Happy New Year.....or something like that! http://picload.org/news-happy-new-yearor-something-like-that.html Fri, 05 Feb 2010 11:06:00 +0100 Okay, the new year is already some days old and everybody is used to consigning the new date everywhere where he/she is asked for the current date. Nevertheless I'd like to wish all of our picload.org users a Happy New Year 2010. There were a lot of new things in October http://picload.org/news-there-were-a-lot-of-new-things-in-october.html Wed, 28 Oct 2009 10:08:00 +0100 October is over and the access figures of our image hoster picload.org continue scaling dizzy amounts. Our servers have provided at least a million image views a day since 10 October. The record is 1.6 million now, but our hardware is able to achieve more! We think that the development of it was profitable. The pictures are distributed in an amazing speed, whatever which time. Well-assembled in September http://picload.org/news-wellassembled-in-september.html Mon, 31 Aug 2009 06:46:00 +0200 There is again a cheerful message around picload.org. The current about 75,000 pictures have been distributed from 2 new servers since this night. These servers are powerful and have a 640 GB hard disc and 2 GB RAM. They are powered by 2x 2200 MHz Intel Core2Duo Processors. picload.org Relaunch http://picload.org/news-picloadorg-relaunch.html Tue, 07 Jul 2009 12:00:00 +0200 Steve has announced on 28 July 2008 that the work at the new picload.org version has gotten up to speed. Nearly 12 months later it is so far: The new picload.org version sees the light of day and has to show, with nearly 300,000 views a day, what it effectively can.
